The Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village:Fieldtrip/Storage Tour: 10/23/10

Preservation Eastern is lucky enough to have the awesome opportunity of getting a tour of the storage facilities at The Henry Ford Museum! The field trip is on Saturday, October 23, 2010 @ 11am. There is space for 30 people to tour the Henry Ford storage facilities, with PE members getting priority. Sign-up with Sarah starting the week of Oct 11 (she will be in Strong Hall before classes start). The group rate for admission is $8 for Greenfield Village and/or $8 for the Museum. Participating in the storage tour is not mandatory, if you just want to enjoy the museum with PE Friends that’s fine! However, your admission fee is required when you sign-up with Sarah. Your money secures your spot and is needed for our reservation. Not a PE member and want to do the tour? $15 for one year or $25 for two, you can sign-up with Sarah for both! The carpool will leave at 10am from the Oakwood South parking lot near Strong Hall; we are expected to check in at the museum no later than 11am.

NOTE!: The gentleman giving the storage tour is going out of his way, on his day off, FOR FREE. If you can, PE is encouraging a few extra bucks in donation to go towards a gift to thank him for the amazing opportunity.

*Family and friends are welcome, but not for the storage tour.
*This event is worth a 1pt. punch on membership cards.

FIELD TRIP! Washtenaw County Driving Tours 09/25

The first field trip of the year will be going on driving tours of Washtenaw County! Here new and returning students are able to mingle and use their architectural terms together while enjoying the structural beauties of their county.

A carpool will be organized and further details on the event will be posted soon.  Students willing to drive please let a board member know! Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend!

FUNDRAISER: Football Sport Concession 09/18: CANCELED

Unfortunately, this event had to be canceled for multiple reasons. HOWEVER, this is something we are still considering to do this in the future.

What a fundraiser like this is, is our group would work a sport concession at an EMU Football Game! Each student organization that works a concession stand gets 10% of the profit they make that day. By doing more fundraisers P.E. Board members hope to offer members more opportunities throughout the year. The work is fun, high energy and students can work in shifts!

If you are interested in participating in fundraisers in the future please email P.E. at preservationeastern@gmail.com
